Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully. By downloading or using Repair Coach ("the app"), you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Repair Coach is published by Deep Creek Mill LLC, a Washington limited liability company ("we," "us"). Contact: info@deepcreekmill.com.
1. What Repair Coach is — and is not
Repair Coach is a tool for reflection and education. It helps you notice reactive conflict patterns, pause before escalating, and rephrase what you want to say.
It is not therapy, counseling, or a crisis service. Repair Coach does not provide medical, mental-health, psychological, legal, or financial advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and using it does not create a therapist–client or any professional relationship. It is not a substitute for care from a licensed therapist, counselor, physician, or other qualified professional. Always use your own judgment and seek professional help when you need it.
2. Safety and emergencies — please read
Repair Coach is not a crisis service and is not monitored. It cannot help in an emergency.
- If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 (or your local emergency number).
- If you are in emotional distress or crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, U.S.).
- If your relationship includes violence, coercion, or abuse, direct communication coaching may be unsafe and could increase your risk. Please talk with a professional before using these tools. In the U.S. you can reach the National Domestic Violence Hotline at thehotline.org or 1-800-799-7233.
You are responsible for your own safety and for deciding whether and how to act on anything the app suggests.
3. AI-generated content
Some suggestions are generated by artificial intelligence (Apple Intelligence on-device, or Anthropic's Claude API — see our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled). AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, generic, or unsuitable for your specific situation. It does not represent our views or professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing any suggestion and deciding whether it is appropriate before you act on, send, or share it. Do not rely on the app for decisions that require professional judgment.
4. Your content and your partner
You keep ownership of everything you write in the app. Your content stays on your device; we do not collect or store it (see the Privacy Policy).
Repair Coach helps you rehearse conversations that may involve another person. You are solely responsible for the content you enter about anyone else and for how you use anything the app produces. Do not enter another person's sensitive information without a lawful basis, and remember that your partner has not agreed to these Terms and is not a user of the app.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the app for any unlawful, harmful, harassing, threatening, or abusive purpose;
- use it to harm, manipulate, coerce, or deceive another person;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, credentials, or keys from the app, except where this restriction is prohibited by law;
- interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app or any service it connects to; or
- use the app in a way that violates Anthropic's or Apple's applicable terms.
6. Age requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use Repair Coach. By using it, you confirm that you are.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any suggestion will be accurate or produce any particular outcome in your relationship. To the extent any warranty cannot be disclaimed, it is limited to the minimum permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, relationships, or emotional distress, arising out of or relating to your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the app (if any) in the twelve months before the claim, or US $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
9. Third-party services
The app relies on services provided by Apple and, for some suggestions, Anthropic. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services and do not control them.
10. Changes to the app or these Terms
We may update the app or these Terms from time to time. Material changes to the Terms will ship with an app update and be posted here, and the date above will change. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, U.S.A., without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here limits any consumer-protection rights you have under the mandatory laws of your place of residence.
